Ocean Shores FamilySearch Center has new directors

News - Feb 2024 -  Steve & Anita Johnson have just been installed as new directors of its FamilySearch Center in Ocean Shores. Michael and Elizabeth Turner are departing for a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois. The FamilySearch Center remains in the church at 228 Albatross Street, Ocean Shores WA 98569. While a comprehensive comparison awaits, it looks like the FamilySearch Center has pretty much all the resources it had before the pandemic and some new ones as well. Our previous post provided a descriptive list, here. Michael and Elizabeth Turner remain at mlturner351 at gmail dot com.

The Center website is here. The Center site will be updated soon and I expect contact information for the Johnsons will be there and I can replicate it in an update of this post.

I'm told that new software allows use of non-center (people's own) computers within the FamilySearch Center via a Chrome Browser extension. I'll update this post after I've tried it. In the meantime, the Center hours remain:

• Tuesdays from 10:00am to Noon
• Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
